Like me, there are times when something crosses your radar that makes you wonder, "WHY wasn't that around when I was growing up?"? A recent Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Rocklin, CA visit led to an experience like that for me. Essentially, Sky Zone is a fun aerial jumping experience that looks like it can be incredibly addictive. The full-on indoor park caters to all ages and levels of jumping excitement. Wow!!! It's a must-see. Here's what's going on there.

Sky Zone was my first experience, and I didn't know what to expect. As I wanted to be completely surprised, I didn't check out the website first. Truth is even if I had checked out the website, I wouldn't have been prepared for how amazing this place is! Once inside it's doors, I said (to myself because my grandson wasn't with me) W O W!!! Really, this place is huge and gives you excited feels right from the start. Then you go around the corner and see two GIGANTIC trampoline courts after taking care of all the formalities like paying for the session and getting your feet in gear (or out of gear as it is definitely a Sky Zone-socks-only place). Considering how trampolines work, the excitement builds when you have to go up those steps to be able to see the action. In spite of all the opportunities to take action, SAFETY is always first.

Safety First Followed by Fun.

Sky Zone is committed to safety while inviting everyone to take part in the fun. All jumpers are required to abide by safety rules, no matter what they do. Parents of 10-year-olds, for example, may want to jump with their children, but because each jumping session sorts people by their age and size, you may be moved. In order to ensure a jumper's safety, team members may move them to another court or section. It's a good thing.

What's Hop-ening at Skyzone?

As well as freestyle jumping (where reservations are required and friends and family can come), there's Ultimate Dodgeball. Ah yes, the old playground game we all loved! I hope you can still picture yourself throwing that old dodge ball from your childhood, while everyone around you jumps and dives to dodge or tag players! You get to do all sorts of daring stunts in a HUGE foam square pool called Foam Zone. It's the one time when someone telling you to fly is useful. Hah, take that! There's something called Sky Slam. Climbers can also take on the Warped Wall. It's hard to explain without seeing it. Looks awesome!

Sky Zone Isn't Just Jumping

Besides jumping like you mean it at Sky Zone, there are special programs available, such as SKYience. Many kids learn concepts faster when they can touch them. It integrates learning about properties and principles of force with kids' own movement in late elementary and middle school. Graphs, datasets, and conclusions are analyzed by students. Among the activities offered by Skymarketing are jumping, marketing techniques for trampoline parks, then jumping again. In Skyfit Class, you jump while burning at least 1000 calories in one hour. Also available is Toddler Time and Character Toddler Time! As part of our regular toddler session, toddlers can jump as much as they want without any other toddlers (please, can there be anything cuter?) and Character Toddler Time includes photos, superhero training, face-painting, dress-up and all-around awesome fun for children up to 6 years old. In Glow, all jumpers wear glow-in-the-dark shirts and socks and the place turns into a dance club (but with jumpers). Additionally, youth group nights are offered, as well as over-night lock-ins, birthday party rentals and birthday party packages.
